Holiday Decorations
On December 1, both entrances into Stone Lakes
were dressed up for Christmas. The crew of residents who
fought the strong wind and ominous sky worked tirelessly to
beautify the common areas for everyone's enjoyment. When you see any of the following
people, please let them know that you appreciate their
work!
A great big THANK YOU goes to
Benny's Bagels, located by CiCi's
Pizza, for their help with the insulated carafes of hot water
for the crew's coffee and hot chocolate. Not only does
Benny's Bagels have the most delicious bagels around, but they
have the best staff! Benny's Bagels graciously allowed us
to use many large carafes for the entire morning so we can keep
the crew warm and hydrated.

their website for a peek at their enticing menu!
Victoria Lash, Christopher Lash, and their mom
did expert work on the arched footbridge, transforming it into
the perfect backdrop for Christmas photos. They also
enhanced our lake with garland and red bows on the railing at
the north end. Bill,
Lauren, and Elyse Lombardo rose to the challenge of decorating
the stone wall/bridge near the entrance. Mark and Maureen
Schmiedel decorated the Waterford entrance. Ernie Brashear
and Bob Lash tackled the curved stone wall at the main entrance;
now all residents and visitors will be greeted by gently curving
garland, twinkling lights, and a nice wreath.
The Lockharts were there, Lisa helping where
needed, and George moving nonstop, directing the process so newbies would know
what to do and where.
The pool area looks lovely, now that a multi-generational group
of volunteers coordinated their efforts to string garland, bows,
and lights around the fence. A round of applause has been
earned by Doug, Maribeth, and Alyssa Wonson, Clem Watson,
Kendall, Rachael, Sarah, and Hannah Goodman, Sarah Roe, Avery
Mason, Allison Hoppe, Erin Carroll, the Blanchard Family, Julia
Snook, Barb and Annalise Galt, Lorrie and Arrington Hayes, and
Don and Greg Hill.
